Stephen Curry needs to be traded? Yaxel Lendeborg may be the answer for the Golden State Warriors before and after the post-LeBron James decision. Many young players are molded in today’s game to shoot like Curry; some are molded in a similar mode to LeBron. Yaxel Lendeborg is one of them.

He has the ability to be a point forward, score the basketball on all levels, and defend all positions. He has the charisma of a budding star player that can really help the Warriors. I saw Yaxel be the driving force in 2026 March Madness, leading a loaded Michigan team to winning the championship. After being selected 11th in the NBA draft, 6’9” forward led the Warriors summer league team to the championship.

Yaxel is just a winner. It is a possibility for him to win the Rookie of the Year. If Klay Thompson returns to the Warriors with the addition of Lendeborg, the Western Conference could be tougher. Having a healthy Steph Curry returning, the Warriors could be a top team in the West after some down season expectations.
