iPhone 14 I was having started having issues after update after update. I received the iPhone 14 nearly free on a promotion from AT&T for switching from Boost Mobile, which was great just wanted a change of pace. Funny thing, Boost Mobile switched from a prepaid service to a premier service a few years during the same time I switched to AT&T. Problem: The years I had with the iPhone 14 led me to think my phone was refurbished and I should have never traded my Boost Mobile iPhone 13 mini, which I had no problems with.
I walked into a phone store to complain about my service. That day was the iPhone 17 release day. The representative shared with me that I had upgrade credits for the Orange iPhone 17 Pro. The phone had a great battery and amazing photo quality compared to every phone I had in the past. The only problem I had was that the iPhone 17 Pro was heavy with a case for protection, and the orange color was too bright. It was a headturner every time I pulled it out of my pocket. Through my ‘next up’ plan, I switched to the Black iPhone Air. It lowered my monthly bill, and I no longer had a head-turning device. The reason was because nobody was buying the Air, and it didn’t have 3 cameras like every other marketed Apple phone. The Black iPhone Air looked like a regular Android with one simple camera. Throughout the year, I have a perspective that many users don’t have from going from the Pro version to the iPhone Air.
Screen
Visuals on the Air are the best I ever seen on any phone I have own. Specs to not give it justice, the screen is very clear. It the screen look better than the iPhone 17 Pro Models.
Speaker
Everyone talks about how the bad the speaker is compared to other versions. After time has passed, the speaker actually gets louder. I have no idea why; it’s a little bass, definitely not a lot, so I avoid syncing with a boothtooth speaker.
Camera
Going from 3 professional cameras to one really good lens takes time to understand the angles of approach. You have to make sure you wipe the lens off frequently. You don’t have 3 cameras to make up for a blurry lens. Photos are really good; 2X zoom keeps the photo quality.
Battery Life
Battery is the only issue with the iPhone Air. You can have 93 percent battery and look down, you have 64 percent battery out of nowhere. Near 50 percent, the phone hits a threshold when battery life goes down to that mark. Reducing the white point in the accessibility display helps save battery. With the screen being so large, brightness will make the battery drain fast.
