Watching college football last season, KC Concepcion was a name mentioned every ESPN College Gameday, Fox Big Noon, and sports show. I never really saw any of KC’s games; it’s too many college football teams to digest every fall Saturday. After watching his highlights, I soon understood why he was talked about so highly.

 The Cleveland Browns selected Concepcion with the 24th pick in the 1st round of the 2026 NFL Draft.  Watching draft coverage, updates, and mock drafts. The top wide receiver prospects were Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, and Makai Lemon, who were highlighted during draft coverage. KC was soon drafted in the 1st round right after them.

KC is an elite playmaker the Browns needed. Being a Shedeur Sanders fan, additional skill position players could help him flourish in the new Todd Monken offensive scheme. KC reminds me a lot of what Shedeur has in Travis Hunter with Jackson State and Colorado. An elite high point call catcher that can make incredible hard catches. Enough speed to evade defenders and can be used as a returner on special teams. Concepcion’s  gifted return skills for the Browns might unlock their next version of Josh Cribbs. 

Only time will tell if he is a breakout NFL star. NFL preseason games start this weekend for all teams.
